The vision

Bondi Junction is the civic precinct and cultural centre of Sydney’s East, a gateway between the harbour and the coast. This plan reimagines the centre for the next generation: a vibrant, accessible and welcoming place that supports people, business and community life.

What's proposed

Oxford Street Mall

A revitalised mall with a new civic square and town plaza.

Civic precinct

Expanded space for culture, recreation and everyday civic life.

Public domain

Greener, safer streets prioritising walking and cycling.

Open space

New and upgraded parks proportional to population growth.

Strategic growth

More homes near transport, with stepped heights to protect character.

The Parkline

A signature green link from Waverley Park to Centennial Park.

A green link across the east

The Parkline connects Waverley Park to Centennial Park, weaving a network of leafy parks and plazas through the centre and giving the Junction a continuous green spine.

Our plan

More homes in the heart of the Junction, while protecting heritage, village character and solar access. Focusing growth here also takes development pressure off other parts of Waverley, including Bronte.

What the community is saying

"I've grown up in Bondi Junction my whole life. If the area were revitalised, made safer and more attractive, it could become a vibrant local hub where people meet friends, grab dinner and spend time together."

The Waverley Liberals

We are proud local Waverley residents with deep roots in the community and a passion for what makes our home special. We are here to bring a fresh perspective to Council, underpinned by a commitment to getting things done.

WE UNDERSTAND

Housing is a critical issue which requires solutions at all levels of government.
We want to make it easier for everyone to live here and for existing residents and their families to stay, by promoting appropriate development whilst protecting the character of our suburbs.

We will deliver prudent financial management to minimise the cost of living pressures already impacting our community.

We know residents love living here and we want to make sure Waverley is THE place to visit through rejuvenating our precincts like Bondi Junction and Bondi Beach.

You want a Council that works for you.
